How to download a video from X on iPhone

1. Why Safari doesn't save videos by default

X streams video in small chunks, so there's no single file to long-press on. That's why the share sheet only offers "Copy link". TwGrab turns that link into a direct MP4 you can save.

2. Copy the post link

Open the post in the X app or Safari, tap the share icon under the video and choose Copy link. Any x.com or twitter.com link works, including links from DMs.

3. Paste it into TwGrab

Head to twgrab.com, tap Paste, then Download. In a second or two you'll see the video with every available quality and its file size.

4. Save with "Download linked file"

Tap and hold the quality you want (1080p if available) and pick Download linked file. Safari shows a small progress arrow in the address bar.

NoteA single tap opens the video in a new tab instead of saving it — that's Safari behaviour, not an error.

5. Find the video in Files or Photos

Open Files → Downloads. To move it to your camera roll, tap Share → Save Video. Done — no watermark, original quality.
